Roesia was born about 1250 in Kinderton,Chestershire,England. Roesia's father was 4th Baron Kinderton, Sir Knight Roger Venables and her mother is Alice de Penington. Her paternal grandparents are Hugh de Venables and Alice d'Oxton; her maternal grandfather is Alan de Pennington. She had a brother named William. She is the younger of the two children.
