John Albert was born in 1871 in Van Zandt Co.,TX.1 John Albert's father was Jesse G. *Screws and his mother was Rebecca Jane Jordan. His maternal grandparents were Nathan Pinckney Jordan Jr. and Rebecca Pricilla *Richardson. He has a brother and three sisters, named Leonard, Susan Alice, Lula Jane and Leona. He is the second oldest of the five children. He has a half-brother and a half-sister, named Billie and Lizzie Beth.
