Geoffrey was born in 1134. Geoffrey's father was Geoffrey Plantagenet V. and his mother was Empress, Queen of England Matilda Augusta (The Lady of the English) Beauclerc. His paternal grandparents were Faulk d'Anjou V. and Eremburge de la Fleche; his maternal grandparents were Henry Beauclerc I and Princess of Scotland Matilda Canmore. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Henry, Agnes and Emma. He has a half-sister named Christina.-
