Joseph Melvin 
Joseph was born about 1844 in New York.1 Joseph's father was Patrick Melvin and his mother is Ellen *unknown. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Frances J., Thomas, Henry, Ann and Marie Lillian. He is the second youngest of the seven children.
They had a daughter named Emma.
