John Melvin

John was born about 1834 in New York.¹   John's father was Patrick Melvin and his mother is Ellen *unknown. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Frances J., Thomas, Henry, Joseph, Ann and Marie Lillian.  He is the oldest of the seven children.

They have two sons and a daughter, named Edward, George W. and Anne.
