John Lanier 
John was born on October 16th, 1631 in Lewisham,England.1 John's father was Clement Lanier and his mother was Hannah Rebecca Collet. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Lanier and Lucreece Bassano; his maternal grandfather is John Collet and his maternal grandmother was Susannah Ferrar. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Charles, Robert, William, Lionel, Nicholas, Hannah, Susanna, Susanna, Elizabeth, Frances and Lucretia. He died at the age of 87 on April 14th, 1719 in Charles City,Virginia.2 General Notes
