James Akiel *Godwin 
James Akiel was born on August 5th, 1861.1 James Akiel's father is Elijah A. *Godwin and his mother was Minerva J. Unknown. His paternal grandparents are Allen Goodwin and Martha Unknown. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John L., Jake, Elizabeth H., Mattie, Mary Ella, Leota and Letitia. He is the oldest of the eight children.
