Maud was born about 1235 in Clifford Castle,Herefordshire,England. Maud's father was Lord Coffham, Sir Knight Walter Clifford III and her mother was Margred verch Llywelyn. Her paternal grandfather was Lord Walter Clifford II and her paternal grandmother is Agnes Cundy; her maternal grandfather was Prince of Wales Llywelyn ap Iorweth (The Great) and her maternal grandmother is Tangwysl Goch (verch Rhos?). She had a sister named Lucia. She was the younger of the two children. She had five half-brothers, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender named William, Roger, Hugh, Richard, John and llywelyn. She died after December 1283 in Brimsfield,Gloucestershire,England. She was buried before May 9th, 1285.-
