Burwell Bittle 
Burwell was born in 1824 in North Carolina.1 Burwell's father was John Bittle and his mother is Sarah *Gathings. His paternal grandfather was Jesse Bittle and his paternal grandmother is Tabitha *unknown. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Irvin, Wesley, Roxy, Eliza Jane, Emily Bittle, Usley, Narcissa and Elmira. He died at the age of 44 in 1868 in Anson County,North Carolina.2 -
