Mathias Mathison

Mathias was born on May 27th, 1866 in , , Norway.  Mathias' father was Torvald Mathiasen and his mother was Gunild Nilsdatter Stover.  His paternal grandparents are Mathias Kulbotten and Dorthea Reitan; his maternal grandparents are Nils Olsen Stover and Kari Knutsdatter Heggvold. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Nels, Carl T., Theodore, Dorothy T., Kari and Carrie Anna.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 76 on November 10th, 1942.

‌Mathias and Ingeborg were married in a religious ceremony in 1896.  They had six sons and three daughters, named Martin I., Nils B., Theodore G., Adolph O., Anker P., Bennie G., Julia B., Clara L. and Gina A..
