John's baptism took place on July 18th, 1641 in Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA. John's father was Thomas James Huet and his mother was Elizabeth Chapman. His maternal grandfather was William Chapman and his maternal grandmother is Margery Robinson. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Ephraim, John, James, Timothy, Ephraim, James, Thomas, Thomas, Timothy, Mary, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Mary.General Notes
!"After the death of his father-in-law in 1683 John Hewwtt moved to his Island home. Christopher Winter had succeeded John Bradford in the occupancy of Governor's Island after 1660. The Island bore the name of Hewwtt Island after the death of Winter. John Hewett sucedded to Governor's Island after the death of Christopher Winter, and left his name attached to it for all time. Winter Hewett
Winter was born in 1678 in Marchfield, Massachusetts, USA. He died at the age of 40 on March 3rd, 1718.
