Kari was born in 1766 in Bonesvold,Storen,Sor-Trondelog , Norway. Kari's father was Erik Olsen and her mother is Gjertru Olsdatter. Her paternal grandfather was Ole Eriksen and her paternal grandmother is Marit Jonsdatter; her maternal grandparents are Ole UNKNOWN and Ingeborg UNKNOWN. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Ole, Jon, Iver, Arnt, Ingeborg, Marit and Berit. She is the fourth youngest of the eight children.General Notes
