Margart or Margaret was born about 1504 in Culworth, Oxfordshire, Or Dauntsey, Wiltshire, England. Margart or Margaret's father was John Danvers and her mother was Ann Stradling. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Danvers and Elizabeth Langston. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Richard, William, Thomas, John, Susan, Dorothy, Anne, Elizabeth, Constance and Margery. She was the third youngest of the eleven children.
