There are 10 children recorded to this couple, 5 males and 5 females. S
ir John Henderson's father was probably John of Fordell.
In the Daughters of the American Revolution Magazine, April, 1937, the fam
ily of Mrs. Lucy Henderson Horton is published. This takes the Henderson l
ine back to approximately 850 AD. There are lots of gaps in the line, howe
ver, it traces the pedigree of the first Gunn (Gunn Clan) from whom the He
ndersons of Fordell Manor are descended. Page 36l states "the Gunns unques
tionably descended from the Norse Kings and settled portions of Great Brit
ian at an early date. The Gunns were descendants of Rognvold, Earl of Mori
