William Robertson

William was born in 1772 in Inverness, Scotland.¹   William's father was Andrew Robertson and his mother was Anne Glascock.  His paternal grandfather was Unknown Robertson. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Glascock, Duncan Forbes, Andrew, George, Ann, Priscella and Elizabeth Harriet.  He was the oldest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named James, Robert Munro and Margaret McIntosh.
