Rhys Gryg 
Rhys was born in 1150 in Dynevor Castl, Llandilo, Carmarthenshire, Wales.1 Rhys' father was Rhys Ap Gruffydd and his mother was Gwenllian Verch Madog. His paternal grandparents were Gruffudd Ap Rhys and Gwenllian Verch Gruffydd. He had nine brothers and fifteen sisters, named Gruffudd Ap, Gryffydd Ap, Cadwgan Ap, Rhys Ap, Maredudd Ap, Cynwrig Ap, Maelgwn Ap, Cadwaladr Ap, Maredudd, Nest Verch, Elinor Verch, Nesta Verch, Rhys Gyrg Ap, Margred Verch, Ankaret, Lleucu Verch, Nest Verch, Gwenllian Verch, Ankaret Verch, Catrin Verch, Elinor Verch, Agnes Verch, Angharat De South and Hywel Sais Ap. He had five half-brothers named Hysel Ap, Hywel Ap, Lleision Ap, Owain Ap and Ednyfed. He died at the age of 103 in 1253 in Dynevor, Llandyfeisant, Carmarthenshire, Wales.1 -
