Thomas Burton 
Thomas was born in 1532 in Longnor, Shropshire, England.1 Thomas' father was Edward Burton and his mother was Ann Madocks. His paternal grandparents were John Burton and Elizabeth Poyner; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Maddocks and Madocks. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Humphrey, Timothy, Captain Francis, Thomas, Francis, Dorothy, Mary, Dorothy, Catherine and Francis. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 87 in 1619.1 -
