Abel was born on January 9th, 1790 in Bole Hill, Wirksworth, Derbs, Eng and his baptism took place on January 27th, 1790 in Wirksworth, Derbs, Eng.  He died at the age of 47 on November 17th, 1837 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa..  He was buried in Sheffield, Yorkshire, england.
