Catherine was born on December 1st, 1799 in Onchan, Douglas, Isle of Man, England. Catherine's father is Thomas Christian and her mother is Eleanor Lace. Her paternal grandparents are Thomas Christian and Ann Cown. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named John, Matthias, Jane, Elizabeth, Ellinor, Ellinor, Mary, Margaret and Ann. She is the second youngest of the ten children.-
