UNKNOWN was born about 0698. UNKNOWN's father was Charles Martel and his mother was UNKNOWN Chrotrude. His paternal grandparents were Pepin d'Heristal and Alpaide UNKNOWN. He had a brother named I. He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named UNKNOWN and UNKNOWN. He died in 0754.General Notes

ion of Pippin's brother Carloman called for the restoration of correct rul
es of clerical life, regular synods, and the elimination of pagan practic
es from every diocese. . . . when Pippin's brother Carloman retired fr
om political life, he went to live in a monastery in Rome. Three years la
ter Pippin III, who still called himself 'duke' or 'prince', sent an embas
sy to Pope Zacharias to ask if it was just that he who held power should n
ot have the title of 'king'. Zacharias sent back the correct answer, a
nd in 751 Pippin III packed Childeric III, the last Merovingian king, in
to a monastery and had himself inaugurated king at Soissons."
