Foulques III "Le Noir" was born in Anjou, France.  Foulques III "Le Noir"'s father was Geoffry I "Grisegonnell" Anjou and his mother was Adelaide De Countess Vermandois.  His maternal grandfather was Gilbert Gislebert Burgundy and his maternal grandmother is Ermengarde of Burgundy. He had two sisters named Ermengarde and UNKNOWN. He had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Archambaud De, Herbert De, Foulques III "Le Nour", Maurice D', Geoffroy De, Maud Mathilda De, Maud (Mathilda) De, Ermangarde D', Adela (Blanca) D', Gerberga D' and Hermangarde.  He died in June 1040 in Anjou, France.
