Mahaut was born in 0943. Mahaut's father was Louis IV d'Outre-Mer King of France and her mother was Gerberge of Saxony Abbess of Notre Dame. Her maternal grandparents were Henry I "the Fowler" Holy Roman Emperor and Matilda von Ringelheim. She had five brothers named Lothair, Louis, Charles, Henri and Charles. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Henri, Alberade, Biltrude and Gerberga. She died at the age of 39 on January 27th, 0982. She was buried after January 27th, 0982 in Cathédral Saint-Maurice de Vienne.-
