Humphrey was born about 1276 in Pleshy Castle, Essex, England.  Humphrey's father was Humphrey De Bohun Earl of Hereford And Essex and his mother was Maud De Fiennes Countess of Hereford And Essex.  His paternal grandparents were Humphrey VI De Bohun and Eleanor De Braose; his maternal grandparents were Enguerrand de Fiennes and Isabel de Conde.  He was an only child.  He died on March 16th, 1322 in Friars Preachers Church, York, Yorkshire, England.  He was buried in Friars Preachers Church, York, Yorkshire, England.

‌Humphrey and Elizabeth Princess Of were married in a religious ceremony on November 14th, 1302 in Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England.  They had five sons and four daughters, named John de, Edmond de, Humphrey de, William, Aeneas de, Eleanor de, Agnes, Isabel de and Margaret de.
