John was born about 1698 in London, England. John's father was John Bransford and his mother is Jane Croke Wood. His paternal grandparents are Robert (Brandford) Brandling and Dorothy Vaughn. He was an only child. He died in 1767 in Dale Parrish, Chesterfield County, Virginia.General Notes
Owned a row of houses in London, England called "Honey Hill" .Commissioned a ship to bring his possessions to America, got drunk andfailed to secure his possessions and lost it all.
Family migrated to America and settled first at Richmond, Henrico County,Virginia.
John and Mary were married in a religious ceremony in Kent, England. They had two sons and three daughters, named James, John II, Barbara, Mollie and Elizabeth Betsy.
