Eleanor De was born in 1100 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.  Eleanor De's father was Robert "The Just" De Beaumont Earl Of Leicester and her mother was Amice de Montfort Waiet.  Her paternal grandparents were Lord Robert I Earl Of Leices. Count De Beaumont Lord and Lady Isabel Elizabeth De Vermandois Lady; her maternal grandparents were Ralf Le Breton de Gauder Montfort Wader Earl of Norfolk and Emma Fitz Osbern. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Robert III De, Gervace de, William de, Geoffrey de, Henry De, John De, Hawise De, Isabel De, Amicia de, Margaret de, Hawise Mabel de, Maud de and Lade or Elizabeth.  She was the oldest of the fourteen children.

‌Eleanor De and Hamon II were married in a religious ceremony about 1124 in Dunham Massey, Cheshire, England.  They had three sons named John, Robert and Hamon III of Dunham.
