Joan (Jane) was born in 1261 in Storeton, Cheshire, England. Joan (Jane)'s father was Ld Sir Philip Baumville and her mother is Pulford. Her paternal grandparents are Sir Thomas Baumville and Agnes Stourton; her maternal grandfather was Ld Sir Robert Pulford. She was an only child.
