Peter Leake Ayres 
Peter Leake was born on February 4th, 1789.1 Peter Leake's father was Nathan Ayres Col. and his mother was Mary Christian Leake. His paternal grandparents were Matthias Ayres and Elizabeth Hales; his maternal grandparents were Walter Leake , Jr. and Judith Mask. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John (Parson Jack), Samuel, Nathan, Walter Leake, Matthias, Judith, Elizabeth (Betsy) Hales, Mary Agnes (Polly), Jane (Jean) and Martha (Patsy). He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 60 on December 1st, 1849 in near Eldridge Mills, Virginia.2 -
