(Blanche) of Anjou, known as Blanka, was born about 0942 in , Anjou, France.  Blanka's father was Ct. "the Good", Count of Anjou (Le Bon) Fulk II and her mother was Gerberga de Gatinais.  Her paternal grandfather was Ct. Foulques I "Le Roux" Comte d' (Le Roux) Anjou and her paternal grandmother is Rosalie (Roscille) de Loches; her maternal grandparents were Geoffrey Count of Gatinais and Ava of Arverne. She had three brothers and a sister, named Bouchard I de, Foulques Seigneur de, Grisegonnelle (grey mantle) and Agnes of Anjou.  She was the second youngest of the five children.  She died in 1026 in Arles, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence, France.
