WILLIAM MARSHALL was born on September 20th, 1827 in CABELL CO,W VA. WILLIAM MARSHALL's father was JOSEPH HENDERSON DEAN and his mother is ELIZABETH FERGUSON. His paternal grandparents were BENJAMIN DEAN and MARY UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather is WILLIAM LEONARD FERGUSON and his maternal grandmother was SARAH STOKES. He had five brothers and six sisters, named BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, JOSEPH HENDERSON, JOHN WESLEY, ANTHONY WAYNE, LINDSEY S., SARAH, CYNTHIA ANN, MARTHA HAYNIE, ELIZABETH, REBECCA MAHALA and EMILY CAROLINE. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 35 on September 28th, 1862 in WAYNE CO,W VA.-
