Jessie John Thurston was born on May 3rd, 1894 in David City, Butler, NE. Jessie John Thurston's father was Christopher C. DAVIS and his mother was Phoebe Jane (Jenny) ROBERTS. His paternal grandparents were Branson Davis and Martha M. Zimmerman; his maternal grandparents were Elisha G. ROBERTS and Maria Elisabeth LONGWORTH. He had two brothers and five sisters, named George R., Frank, Katie Nell, Mable, Jennie, Daisy Deane and Bessie Eda. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 49 on February 14th, 1944.-
