James stannard Crane 
James stannard was born on May 3rd, 1857 in Pullham, Norf., England and his baptism took place in Pulham, Norf, Engl. James stannard's father was John Crane and his mother was Sarah stannard. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Crane and Sarah folkard; his maternal grandparents were John stannard and Sarah tyrrell. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William Walter, Henry, ARTHUR John, William, Samuel, Robert Ernest, Mary Ann and Annie. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 58 on July 23rd, 1915 in Draper, Salt Lake, UT. He was buried on July 26th, 1915 in Draper, S-Lk., UT.General Notes
James S. Crane my father was born May 3 1857 at Pulham Norfolk, england. son of John L. Crane and Sarah Stannard. He emmigrated to Utah with hes parents in 1866 and was baptized by James Ashman in the 10th ward S.L. City in 1867. He was an active member in the 10th ward Sunday School until 1870 whenb he moved to Herriman where he soon became a zealous worker in Church affairs, acting as Sun. School teacher and secratary of the Y.M.M.I.A. He was ordained a Priest Dec 16 1877 and worked in that capacity until Oct 9 1878 when he was ordained an Elder. He married Sarah Ann Dansie 1878 by whom he has had 10 children. In Feb. 1884 he was ordained a Seventy and labored as ward teacher till Dec 1887 when he was ordained a High Priest and set apart as a counselor to Bishop Robert Dansie. When Bishop Dansie died in 1896 my father was chosen and set apart as Bishop of the Herriman Ward untill 1906 when he left the ward and moved to Draper. In 1907 to 1910 he filled a mission in the Central States. After returning home he was called to serve as a counselor to Bishop Soren Rassmussen in the Draper Ward until his death July 23, 1915.

James stannard and Sarah Ann Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on October 11th, 1878 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, UT, UT.
