Mary was born about 1601 in Of Old Crooke &, Fulwood, Lancashire, England. Mary's father was William CLAYTON and her mother is Elizabeth RIGBYE. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas CLAYTON and Anne Jackson; her maternal grandparents are Nicholas RIGBYE and Mrs-Nicholas RIGBYE. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William, John, Raphe, Richard, Ann and Alice. She is the second youngest of the eight children.-
