General Notes

Family historians are not sure if he was born in Scotland or just lived
there at the time of his marriage.  He is usually listed with wife Grace
as the mother of his son born in 1692, but some historians list his wife
as Mary Greenleaf (but some family historians also list his son's wife's
name as Mary Beakes Greenleaf...)
