Sarah was born on May 24th, 1824 in Floyd County or Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana. Sarah's father was Samuel Brown and her mother was Lovina Akers. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Akers and Anna Anderson. She had six brothers and six sisters, named William Martin, John, Alfred, Anna, Achsa, Albert, Mary, Nancy, Lovina, Louisa, Martha Lovina and Prudence. She died at the age of 28 on December 28th, 1852 in Utica, La Salle County, Illinois. She was buried in Oakhill Cemetery, Utica, La Salle County, Illinois.-
