Gladys Faye was born on July 18th, 1911 in Ruble, Iowa. Gladys Faye's father was Irvin Martin Boyer and her mother was Annie Evelyn Jeffers. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry Boyer and Florence Virginia Dinges. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Lester Jeffers, Chester Martin, Robert Isaac, William Howard, Ethel Pearl, Florence Katherine, Vera Fern, Mattie Evelyn, Hazel Louise, Blanche May and Dorothy Lynette. She is the fourth oldest of the twelve children.-
