Ethel Pearl was born on June 23rd, 1907 in Barney, North Dakota. Ethel Pearl's father was Irvin Martin Boyer and her mother was Annie Evelyn Jeffers. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry Boyer and Florence Virginia Dinges. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Lester Jeffers, Chester Martin, Robert Isaac, William Howard, Florence Katherine, Gladys Faye, Vera Fern, Mattie Evelyn, Hazel Louise, Blanche May and Dorothy Lynette. She is the second oldest of the twelve children.-
