Dorothy Lynette was born on November 20th, 1929 in Sturgis, South Dakota. Dorothy Lynette's father was Irvin Martin Boyer and her mother was Annie Evelyn Jeffers. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry Boyer and Florence Virginia Dinges. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Lester Jeffers, Chester Martin, Robert Isaac, William Howard, Ethel Pearl, Florence Katherine, Gladys Faye, Vera Fern, Mattie Evelyn, Hazel Louise and Blanche May. She is the youngest of the twelve children.-
