Joseph Ankeny 
Joseph was born on June 30th, 1802 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Joseph's father was Peter Ankney and his mother was Rosina Bonnet. His paternal grandparents were Dewalt Johan Ankney and Mary Jane Dorner; his maternal grandfather was Jean Bonnet. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Theobald, Isaac, Peter, John, Henry, Jacob, Isaac, Catherine, Elizabeth, Rosina and Susanna. He is the youngest of the twelve children.-
