Whitman H. Julian 
Whitman H. was born on July 8th, 1809 in Rutherford, NC. Whitman H.'s father was Samuel Denton Julian and his mother was Nancy Mary Condrey. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Julian and Rachael Alexander; his maternal grandfather is Claibourne Condrey. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James B., Samuel D., John Wright, Clairborne C., Jesse R., William Wiltshire, Alice and Elizabeth Ann. He is the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
