Samuel D. was born on July 8th, 1809 in Rutherford Co., NC. Samuel D.'s father was Samuel Denton Julian and his mother was Nancy Mary Condrey. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Julian and Rachael Alexander; his maternal grandfather is Claibourne Condrey. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James B., Whitman H., John Wright, Clairborne C., Jesse R., William Wiltshire, Alice and Elizabeth Ann. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 65 on May 6th, 1875 in Spurgeon, Pike, IN. He was buried in 1875 in Spurgeon, Pike, IN.-
