Joseph was born in 1869 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 Joseph's father was John S. Wilson and his mother was Mahalia Johnson. His maternal grandparents were Henry Johnson and Elizabeth Morris. He had two brothers and a sister, named John S., Jr., Jesse Robert and Sally L.. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James Henry, William Lewis, Mary Elizabeth, Rutha Jane and Lucy J.. He died at the age of 41 in 1910 in Texas.1 General Notes
