Hardin Cody was born in 1788 in Lincoln Co, Kentucky, Old Ninety-Six District, South Carolina.1 Hardin Cody's father was William J. Warren and his mother was Rhoda Unknown. His paternal grandfather was Hugh Warren and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Pope. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named William, Hugh, Frederick, Andrew, John, Dodson, Silas, Margaret Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Nancy and Rhoda. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 77 in 1865 in Floyd Township, Johnson Co., Arkansas.
