James Thomas Underwood 
James Thomas was born in 1855.1 James Thomas' father is David Underwood and his mother is Sarah Turner. He was an only child. He died at the age of 46 in 1901.1 General Notes

il es around to get his help with their livestock. He was connected with B
ayl or College and a close friend of the college President, Townsend. Wh
en Jo hn died from, what was called then, "Neuralgia of the heart" or hea
rt atta ck, President Townsend gave teh eulogy.
James Thomas and Amanda Jane were married in a religious ceremony on December 22nd, 1881 in Bell Co., Texas.1 They had five sons and three daughters, and also a child of unknown gender, named Thomas David, John William, George Thomas, Martin Luther, Roy Raven, Minnie Lee, Dora Matilda, Ollie Mae and Curtis Ophelia.
