James Bryan Underwood 
James Bryan was born on September 6th, 1896 in McLeansboro, Hamilton Co., Illinois.1 James Bryan's father was David Jasper Underwood and his mother was Ruth Campbell. His maternal grandparents were James Madison Campbell and Elizabeth Eleanor Mitchell. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Carl Stanton, Ira Julian, Alvin Wendell, David Jasper, Frank Marshall, Fred Woodrow, Annie Ruth, Opal and Mary Elanor. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 55 on July 23rd, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.1 General Notes
