George Thomas Underwood 
George Thomas was born on January 17th, 1889 in Joe Lee Community, Bell Co., Texas.1 George Thomas' father was James Thomas Underwood and his mother was Amanda Jane Mabry. His paternal grandparents are David Underwood and Sarah Turner; his maternal grandparents were Thomas L. Mabry and Sarah Miranda Graham. He had four brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Thomas David, John William, Martin Luther, Roy Raven, Minnie Lee, Dora Matilda, Ollie Mae and Curtis Ophelia. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 93 on March 16th, 1982 in Joe Lee Community, Bell Co., Texas.
