Anderson Underwood

Anderson was born in 1819 in Green  Co., Kentucky.¹   Anderson's father was Hiram Underwood and his mother was Celia Buley.  His paternal grandfather was James Underwood and his paternal grandmother is Keziah Unknown. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named William C., William A., Thomas E., Calloway, Mason, Lafayette, Green Berry, Hiram,Jr., Nancy Jennie, Virginia Jane, Celia and Mary Jane.  He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 61 in 1880 in Tayler Co., Kentucky.¹ 

‌Anderson and Priscilla were married in a religious ceremony on May 9th, 1836 in Green Co., Kentucky.¹   They had two sons and a daughter, named William J., James Franklin and Susan.
