Gertie Thompson 
Gertie was born on November 7th, 1903 in Texas.1 Gertie's father was Henry Jackson Thompson and his mother was Amazonia (Annie) Lockridge. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Russell G. Lockridge and Nancy Jane Middleton. He had six brothers named Hettie, Nancy (Sis), Arbegine (Babe), Henry Jackson (Bud), Marlin Neal, Sr. and Scrapp. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 80 on September 22nd, 1984.1 General Notes
