Horrace M. was born about 1887 in Ripley Co., Missouri.1 Horrace M.'s father was Daniel P. Thomas and his mother was Susan C. Robb. His paternal grandparents are Nathan Thomas and Pricilla Guynes; his maternal grandfather is Madison M. Robb and his maternal grandmother was Rhoda 'Rody' McNabb. He had six brothers named William Albert, Walter L., Andrew, Charles H., Benjamin D. and John A.. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James Addison, Sr. and Mary Eliza. He died on March 7th, 1908 in Santiago, Cuba. He was buried in Morrow Barracks, Santiago, Cuba.1 1 General Notes
