Following Johann's death in 1778, Barbara Tefern, widow of Frederick Tefe
rn of Conococheague Hundred, Washington, County, Maryland (the term hundr
ed meaning the same as township) remarried in 1780
to become the 3rd wife of Joseph Peter Rench. There is record of Barba

reads: Barbary RENCH, died in 1820 aged 80 odd years. Barbara's granddaug
hter, Barbara Millhouse, married Henry Dilbone. The Dilbone family was mas

Springcreek Township. An account of this incident can be found in BEER
