Leon Stephens

Leon was born on March 1st, 1889 in Romney, Eastland Co., Texas.¹   Leon's father was Joseph S. Stephens and his mother was Laura Phrozenia Bazemore.  His paternal grandparents are Quinton David Stephens and Mary A. Scroggins. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John Joseph, Kirby, Cammie Cornelia, Laura Cordelia, Claudia Bell, Della, Stella and Flossie Lora.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 69 on January 21st, 1959.¹ 

‌Leon and Lillie Helen were married in a religious ceremony on August 2nd, 1908.¹   They had five daughters named Thelma Lara, Cecila Phrozenia, Elizabeth, Living and Living.
